Okay, let’s be honest here! We all have a child within us. A child that gets excited reminiscing over their favorite toy shop in town; going gaga over board games (remember Monopoly?) or simply getting a whiff of old-school toys that we used to LOVE. Does this ring a bell? If yes, then I’m sure you can imagine the excitement when LEGO wanted to launch in the Indian Market, with LBB!

Undoubtedly one of the most beloved toy brands in the world, LEGO has revolutionized toys for children. And the most awesome part….LBB got to share the launch experience with their users as well. Here’s how we did it.

The Brief

Been around Indian households for a long time now (thanks to our relatives in the US, UK), LEGO’s announcement to finally enter the Indian Market was buzz-worthy. The iconic “Little Red Bricks’’ facilitate you to build your very own LEGO world, straight out of a lucky kid’s dream. Creativity on top of emotional, cognitive, and social skills is what you take away as a LEGO user! With all this info pretty much out in the open, LBB decided to go ahead with a simple content piece and social media amplification to create buzz and excitement. And as expected, our users got super pumped with joy, unable to contain the inner child in them!

The Idea

With LEGO already having a solid fanbase in India, LBB decided to fill in its users on the good news with a simple content piece (out on the LBB web and app) and creating ample social media buzz. The write-up talked about the launch, LEGO’s legacy, its products, and the right target audience of the brand, including periodic outbursts of the LBB crew with joy!

This was also followed by an influencer activity “LEGO Children Fiesta Week”, wherein LBB insiders, influencers, and parents shared their experiences of how they’re spending quality time with their kids. P.S. brownie points if these memories included LEGO product(s).

The Result

With a simple content piece, influencer activity, and its adaptation on all of LBB’s social media platforms, we managed to give our users a gentle reminder of LEGO’s entry in India. Here’s what we delivered on;

  • 200% achievement on Page Views
  • 250% achievement on social impressions
  • 400% achievement on UGC

Adding to this, the influencer posts saw great engagement from mothers as well!

Keeping this in mind, here’s what the brand marketing manager of LEGO Group had to say about working with LBB:

“The LBB team did a marvelous job at grasping what LEGO is all about and then knowing exactly how to package it to their platform audience. We ended up doing a lot more campaigns than we initially thought we would. Kudos to them.”
